Urban Sketching with a Waterbrush: Create Quick & Loose Lively Sketches

Using a waterbrush for urban sketching can be very convenient. 

In this course, you'll learn the painting techniques with waterbrushes that can be used for colouring your sketches. I'll also be talking about urban sketching tips to help you be more confident when sketching outdoors.

This course is for beginners, but it would be good if you some basic knowledge on urban sketching.

If you have no experience, I recommend you check out my beginner's course to urban sketching first.The tools you'll need are a pen with waterproof ink, watercolour paper or sketchbook, watercolour paint and of course a waterbrush.

Reference photos for the projects are provided (attached) for practice purposes. Since this is an urban sketching, course, I do recommend you sketch outdoors on location because that's really where you can learn the fastest, and it's just more fun to sketch outside.

There are two projects in this course.

The first project is on sketching a fruit stall. The scene is actually quite busy so for practice purposes just focus on smaller area instead of drawing everything, unless you enjoy the challenge. 

The second project is on sketching a shophouse. We will sketch the architecture and add details to make the scene look lively. 

Do upload your sketches so that I can have a look at them, and I can give you critiques on how to improve. Your uploaded sketches can also be scenes from where you live or visit.
